The Bucks have kept at it with more off-season moves and rumblings Monday by signing Keyon Dooling to a two year contract. There are also rumblings that the Bucks will trade Darnell Jackson and a 2ndround pick to Sacramento for Jon Brockman.
Keyon Dooling
We knew a veteran point guard would be added and here it is. It did not cost the Bucks any current rotation guys so I am happy about that.
Quote from GM John Hammond
“Keyon is a veteran and will complement Brandon Jennings,” general manager John Hammond told the Journal Sentinel. “He’s filled both roles as a point guard as [...]

Bucks Off-Season Report Card
Giving grades for a teams draft picks is always stupid right after a draft, but we all do it anyways. The same could be said for free agent moves as we do not know how a guy will fit in or if that nagging injury he had on his previous team was much more serious than anyone let on. In a lot of ways it just as much of a crap-shoot as the draft. But it is the summer and it is really entertaining to look at this stuff, the Bucks did not sit back andfor that reason alone I [...]
In one of the first non-rumored filled articles about Lebron James during this whole free agency fiasco, ESPN lays out several details regarding the decision in this article. The Miami Heat are the favorite according to ESPN for Lebron James, which would form a great trio of Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh(already agreed with the Heat), and Lebron James. Cleveland is still in the mix for several reasons but unless the team was able to do something extraordinary, like trading for Chris Paul, I doubt James signs there for more than three years.
In my view Lebron James will sign for the [...]
We have some Milwaukee Bucks news this morning and some more Lebron non-news.
Lebron James
It is all over ESPN that Lebron’s decision should come Thursday. If it does, THANK GOD! This saga has been going on for several years, ever since the Knicks started adding crappy contracts that would expire for this free agent period. If I remember correctly this all really started with Isiah in New York, the rumors have been flying around that long.
I would prefer Lebron to leave Cleveland for New York or New Jersey and for Dwayne Wade to stay in Miami. What I do not want [...]
NBA Free Agency Updates
After the holiday weekend everyone likely needs a little catchup on all the free agency moves, or more appropriately, free agency rumors because that is all we really have at this point regarding some of the major players.
Lebron James
I don’t think anybody has a clue about Lebron yet. The ESPN scroll continues to act as if every meeting Lebron has is breaking news and that he is on the verge of making a decision when in reality this is likely playing out as Lebron planned all along, with him visiting several teams, listening to pitches, then making an informed decision. [...]
Bucks Sign Drew Gooden
Just heard this on the Dan Patrick Show, the Bucks have signed PF Drew Gooden at 5 years, 32 million. The DP show is usually very accurate, not rushing to report anything so I trust the validity.
First off, I am a little shocked the Bucks got involved this early. Second, I think it shows how shrewd John Hammonds is as a General Manager. When the dominos start falling players are going to go to where the stars are, Hammonds went after a guy he wanted at a price he wanted. Third, I like the move, Gooden is a physical power [...]
NBA Free Agency Predictions
Each NBA blogger at Fansided was asked to give a destination prediction for a few of the summer’s free agents, the article. Here are the free agents we were asked to predict and my predictions:
Lebron James – Chicago Bulls
I do not think James will stay in Cleveland, I think he feels like, been there, done that. I also do not think he will go to Miami because he would not only share being the main guy with Dwayne Wade but would take on criticism for needing another superstar to get a ring. Wade and James are the top two players [...]
From the rumors that have been swirling regarding the “summit” meeting that included Dwayne Wade, Lebron James and Chris Bosh in Miami in the last few days it could actually be possible that the three huge free agents join forces on one team. The team would likely be Miami, since they have the most cap room. If this were to happen here are five reasons I think it could be bad for fans, the NBA and sports.
1. Boring – The NBA would become extremely boring. It may be fun to watch the trio win a title or two but after [...]
News on Salmons, Delfino and CDR
It is always exciting when anything shows up on the ESPN Insider Rumors regarding the Bucks and this morning there were a couple of items.
John Salmons
Salmons officially opted out of the contract. No big surprise to any Bucks fan. Will they try to retain him? Will he consider Milwaukee? The report mentions the Bucks want to retain him but mention nothing regarding his interest.
Carlos Delfino
The Bucks must decide by tonight if they want to keep Carlos Delfino and his $3.5 million salary for next season or waive him and pay $500,000.
Everything I have read states the Bucks do want to retain [...]
Expect Bucks To Target Veterans
John Hammonds is quoted on ESPN insider, from JSOnline, that the Bucks need to keep or obtain veterans to stay in the rotation. I do not think all veterans from last year will be back so when the top level free agents like Lebron James, DWayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Joe Johnson and others sign there will be secondary players that will need homes.
When the free agent market starts to take shape a savvy GM like John Hammonds should be able to find a player or two that can help the Bucks at a relative bargain. While nobody thinks the Bucks [...]
