This article will focus on some early week NBA news. By the end of the week, and the next couple of weeks, most of the content will be geared toward College Football and the NFL.
Jennings working on everything
A little odd to see some non-news regarding Brandon Jennings. Maybe this is a sign of how much buzz the Bucks have created on a national level. Below is the note from ESPN regarding Jennings on the ESPN NBA Rumors, it is always fun to read positive things about your team:
Brandon Jennings had a terrific rookie season for the Bucks and is working [...]

Bucks Could Be Tougher Than Heat
Let me lead off by saying I do not think the Bucks are anywhere near as talented as the Miami Heat. The Heat will be one of the most interesting and entertaining teams in the NBA since Jordan was with the Bulls. Whether you like how it happened, the Heat will be one team that every fan in the NBA will at least pay attention to outside of their own team/division for the entire season. They will be a traveling circus.
But… Will they be tough enough to endure in the playoffs?
This idea came to me a week ago. Chris Bosh [...]
Carmelo To Bulls Bad For Bucks
There is a rumor posted on ESPN that the Chicago Bulls could be in the mix for Carmelo Anthony. That would be bad for the Bucks. Among the likely players to be sent to Denver would be Luol Deng.
From ESPN
UPDATE: Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald has the same idea as Blog-A-Bull (see below).
McGraw writes: “They could start by offering Luol Deng, who plays the same position, along with maybe Taj Gibson and a first-round draft pick or two. As long as the Bulls are willing to offer a maximum deal next summer, they would have a good chance of [...]
Site5 Hosting
Web hosting can be a hassle. There’s no way to precisely project
incoming traffic, for starters. Also, if your server gets rocked by an
influx of traffic or is for some reason experiencing technical
difficulties, you want someone you can get in touch with no matter the
time of day. Easier said than done, because even in the age of cell
phones, texting, Twitter and Facebook, it can be hard to track down
family and friends, let alone the help at your hosting company.
Fortunately, we here at FanSided haven’t had those problems since we
started working with exclusively with the good folks at Site5. In fact, we [...]
Britt Robson from SI.com is compiling off-season grades for each division in the NBA. A few days ago he published his grades for the Central Division.
Chicago Bulls – A
Cleveland Cavaliers – F
Detroit Pistons – D+
Indiana Pacers – D
Milwaukee Bucks – C+
A C+ for the Bucks??? That downright pissed me off when I first saw it, I know I shouldn’t give a crap about off-season grades but we are almost three months away from any games yet. Even when reading his reasoning for the Bulls getting an A and the Bucks a C+ I don’t like it.
Chicago Bulls A
He likes the addition [...]
ESPN has come out with updated future rankings for all NBA franchises, the Milwaukee Bucks are now 18th, up from 29 last November, up from 21 in March. I would argue the Bucks should at least be in the top half of these rankings due to immediate outlook, young stars Brandon Jennings and Andrew Bogut, and great a great management team led by GM John Hammond and head coach Scott Skiles. I am not a crazy Bucks homer and think the team belongs in the top five or even top ten due to the lack of new arena and the market [...]
Brandon Jennings and Tyreke Evans battled for the majority of the season last year for the billing of Rookie of the Year. Evans ended up winning the award, while Jennings took third, but it was Jennings who actually won games and was a major contributor to a playoff team.
Evans has not been a huge problem off the court in college or the NBA but he has had some minor incidents that when piled together make you question whether he is a guy you want to build a team around. He is young and can change but the only proof we [...]
Since the NBA off-season has started to slow down with moves I thought this as good as any time to throw out what I think Vegas will set the Bucks over/under number at. In 2009-2010 the Bucks were listed at 28.5 which they obliterated by winning 46.
Vegas usually does not like to go wild, they keep things closer to the middle to entice action on both sides. They had to realize fairly early last season that the over was going to hit for the Bucks. Once Brandon Jennings showed he was a star in the making and Andrew Bogut proved [...]
I have had many complaints about ESPN but I have seen a couple of things in the last day that I feel are correct about local Wisconsin teams. ESPN included the Bucks in their list of off-season winners in an article by John Hollinger and the Packers are sixth in their first power poll.
Milwaukee Bucks Off-Season Winners
I have said it, any fan paying attention has said it, all Buck bloggers have said it, but it is still nice when the big boys at ESPN acknowledge it. While there could still be some future problems of superteams forming if another trio [...]
I have nothing against Chris Paul, I like watching him play as one of the best point guards in the league, but I am really hoping against him getting his wish. The leading rumor has Paul going to New York by forcing a trade there. This was apparently something he, Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony had discussed. This crap needs to stop. For this sport, for all sports, it just needs to stop.
The NBA has done well for years with a simple winning formula, get a star, get him a decent running mate, fill in the pieces. That worked for Michael [...]
