Redd Done; Leuer Out Indefinitely
Mike Redd is out again. He is officially out for the season leaving his future with the Bucks and NBA in doubt. I feel bad for Redd, I really do. He seems like a great person and a truly nice guy. But, I do not see how Redd could have been a part of the long-term plans for the Bucks once his contract expired. I also do not think it was possible for Redd to do enough to lure any trade offers. With his injury history and the massive salary number he is getting next season, I think it was very doubtful any team would have bitten on a trade.
Sooo, I would rather see more of Meeks. I would rather see Jennings be the back-court focal point. Lets see what these two can do together. For the Bucks to ever be a real contender in the East they will need pieces added anyways, might as well take on as much of the growing pains as possible now rather than later.
Badger Lose Leuer
The Badgers got a big win and big loss this weekend. First, they were able to beat unbeaten Purdue. It was a tough game, but the Badgers were in control for the majority of the second half, once the lead got into double digits Purdue never really threatened as each run was snubbed by Wisconsin. The bigger story coming out of the game is the injury to Leuer’s left wrist.
Leuer is one of the players along with Hughes and Taylor that can really make Wisconsin dangerous. I think he is legitimately one of the top 10-15 big men in the country when you take into account his versatility. This does not mean he is as good a NBA prospect as some other guys, but his ability to shoot from three, drive to the basket, post up, and defend the post make him a really great college post player. If he can come back from this injury early enough to get back into a rhythm, this could be a postive. They may take on a few more losses, but the experience gained by some other players will be invaluable. As we saw in the Michigan State game, the Badgers need other players to step up, this injury will force one or more players to have to do just that.

Hate to see that for Redd. Has to be devastating for him.
