There is no shame in losing at Purdue for Wisconsin as they have not had much success there, but this one was there for them.
Even with the loss the Badgers have proven that this team is much better prepared for the tournament environment in March.

Bagders Get Nipped by Purdue
Gilbert Arenas is now officially out for the year. This is the latest report on ESPN:
A person familiar with Wednesday’s meeting between Arenas and NBA Commissioner David Stern said Arenas requested to be suspended for the remainder of the season and sources said that Stern plans to abide by the request, the Washington Post reports. (Jan 27)
The hottest topic around sports radio today is “What should the Wizards do with Arenas?” The consensus that I have heard is the Wizards should look to trade Arenas, but where, for what? In almost any trade scenario the Wizards are going to get [...]
Never Easy as Bucks Edge Sixers
The Bucks cannot just make it easy on us fans can they? The Bucks held a ten point lead with less than five minutes to play and the lead evaporated to two points in seconds. First an ally-oop to Dalenbert, then good defense forced an off-balanced jumper by Jennings, then a turnover and blocked shot. All led to points.
But… The Bucks held on for the three point win. The Bucks really struggled at the end until Jennings forced the issue by getting into the lane, giving a little shake, and firing off a runner then went in. Jennings has to do [...]
The Bucks lost another close game last night as Carlos Delfino’s shot at the buzzer missed. That is two tough losses to Dallas this year for Milwaukee. I did not even watch, I was running late, checked the score by my phone in the 3rd quarter and was pleasantly surprised that the Bucks were still in it.
After a tough road trip where the Bucks could only get a win against Golden State, I kept tabs on the game through live updates on my phone. As fans we do weird things like this and we hope it helps. It did not [...]
Bucks at Mavs Tonight
The Bucks go back on the road tonight at the Mavericks. Dallas is coming off of a 50 point blowout against the Knicks. Hopefully they used up all of their hot shooting before the Bucks visit. Dallas won the first matchup on a Dirk Nowitzki jumper in overtime in November.
More details on the game at JSonline.
It would be really nice for the Bucks to get a road win over a quality team.
Bucks and Badgers Get Wins
It was a good night for state of Wisconsin basketball fans as both the Bucks and Badgers got a win. Both games ended at nearly the same time so there was plenty of channel flipping in the last few minutes of each game.
Bucks
Who cares how pretty it was, the Bucks needed a win. Chris Bosh could not be stopped as he posted his career high in points with 44. It was not enough as the Bucks held off the Raptors for the win.
One thing about this game really puzzled me. In the closing minutes when every score is huge it [...]
Now that the season is well into conference play efficiency stats can help sort out some teams that are actually good and some that may be frauds. Basketball efficiency ratings are the best way to compare teams because they take the pace of the team out of the equation. Here are the current rankings.
1. Duke 1st offense, 9th defense.
2. Kansas 2nd offense, 3rd defense.
3. BYU 5th offense, 14th defense.
4. Syracuse 4th offense, 16th defense.
5. Texas 31st offense, 2nd defense.
6. Wisconsin 16th offense, 7th defense.
The Badgers currently sit in 6th place overall, 16th in offensive efficiency, 7th in defensive efficiency. People [...]
The Bucks have signed Jerry Stackhouse to help fill the void left by the Redd season ending injury. I have no idea how this will work out. As a fan you like to see your team try something when bad things happen, I am just unsure if there is more gained by getting Jodie Meeks more minutes or adding a washed up Stackhouse. If this was even three or four years ago I could at least get excited, but not so much now. We will see.
The Bucks also end the road trip today at Houston in a Martin Luther King [...]
The Bucks are now entering the second half of this six game road trip. After tonight, the Bucks play at Utah on Saturday night, then an afternoon game on Monday at Houston. Tonight is the night for a win.
This is the most rested the team will be and this is the best matchup for the Bucks on this trip. When the teams met in Milwaukee Brandon Jennings scored 55 and the Bucks won in double overtime. Stephen Jackson had a big game for Golden State and he is no longer with the team.
Hopefully, the Bucks can get a win tonight.
Badgers
Wisconsin [...]
I am just gonna come out and say it, the Bucks got schedule raped with this west coast trip. The highlights of a trip that includes @Lakers, @Suns, @Blazers, @Jazz and 3 games in 3.5 days.
There is no shame in losing back to back games on the road against the Lakers and Suns, but an 0-6 road trip could really put a dent in any serious Bucks playoff talk. The Bucks currently stand in 9th place in the East with a 15-20 record, they are only a 1/2 game behind Chicago. But, if the Bucks lose another four games on this [...]
