It is very popular at the end of a decade to look back at the previous ten years and compile “Best Of” lists. There are enough looking back lists, I am not into that. I like to make irrational projections and wait to find out if I was right, in the ballpark, or not even in the same sport. Irrational projections is part of the fun of NFL and NBA drafts. This is my list of the stars of the 2010’s. This will not include Kobe, Duncan or Dirk. Although Kobe is among the top two or three players right [...]

I will start off with the Bucks game from last night. I am very happy there was an interesting Monday night game between Chicago and Minnesota because the Buck game was mostly unwatchable. I gave up when the Bucks went down 47-30. I tuned in again at one point in the fourth as the Bucks were cutting into the lead, but the Bobcats quickly put the lead back to 12.
The Bucks are in a funk. They have lost 14 of 18. Why? Who is to blame? We are fans, we have to blame someone. Skiles pulled starters last night after [...]
What I Herd This Morning
I do not know why I even get upset or bothered anymore with Sports talk radio. It is just crap, especially ESPN sports-talk radio. Mike and Mike are unbearable, and I have already mentioned they make my ears bleed. Colin Coward’s The Herd use to be OK, but ever since he has been on SportsNation, the radio show has suffered. If he does not have as much time to prepare or dedicate to the show, than I wish he would give it up and allow Scott van Pelt to move up into that slot. The Herd is just not as [...]
Bucks Beat Pacers; Weekend Recap
The Bucks got a much needed 84-81 win over Indiana last night. The Bucks tried their hardest to give the game away with what felt like a never-ending string of misses at the free throw line. How Michael Redd can be considered one of the better jumpshooters in the game yet that horrible at free throws baffles me. If he has the muscle memory and accuracy to drill three after three how can he be that bad at free throws? He was not the only one as it became a win each time a Buck would at least hit one [...]
Bucks and Weekend Preview
Bucks Weekend
The Bucks get a prime time national game tonight at the Cavs on ESPN. Then, they turnaround and come back home for the Kings on Saturday night. I would have preferred the Bucks to be home tonight against the Kings with the game at Cleveland on Saturday. I do not think the Bucks will beat the Cavs no matter when they play them, so I would rather have them play at Cleveland when it is a game they should not win. When they play the Kings does matter since the Bucks can win that game, they would just have [...]
The Bucks got screwed. That is all that can really be said. The Bucks need to just move on and forget this game otherwise it could turn into multiple losses.
The Bucks did have their chances with missed free throws, lane violations, sitting Mbah ah Moute(their best defender) while Kobe made the winning shot, so the Bucks were not without blame.
But, the refs fucking sucked!
The latest trend I have seen for a couple of years from stars like Kobe, Wade and Lebron is to run full speed into a defender, throw a shot up, and act like somebody shot you. Kobe [...]
Saturday
The weekend of the Heisman award is one of the worst weekends of the year. There are no college football games outside of the Army-Navy game and lower division games. Coming off of the championship weekend from the week before, this is a big drop-off. There are some college basketball games, but it is early to get too excited over college basketball. The sport has created the dilemma of having such a great tourney that the regular season means very little.
Adding to the abrupt end of college football is the fact I live in Wisconsin so it is below zero [...]
The Bucks got a much needed win last night over Toronto. Jennings led the way for the Bucks in a much needed win. Luc and Ukic, yes Ukic, also had very good games to boost the Bucks. Here is a good recap from BrewHoop.
Mike and Mike on ESPN Radio
I have to voice my absolute hate of this god-awful sports talk show. Years ago Mike and Mike were the only sports radio show I could get on the way to work each morning. It was painful, but it was the only option so I would tune in. Now, I cannot make [...]
There has been a ton going on in sports in the last few days. First, you have the weekly event that is the NFL weekend. Second, the BCS has made its choices after a wild college weekend. Third, the Tiger Woods saga has went from entertaining to disturbing. Last, the Bucks gave up a 29-0 run to the Cavs at home with Lebron on the bench.
NFL
A great weekend for the NFL. Going into the weekend the only games of interest were Cowboys-Giants, Vikings-Cardinals, Packers-Ravens, and some interest being zapped from the Falcon-Eagle game when Ryan was officially scratched. But what [...]
Last night was a good night of early season basketball for Bucks/Badger fans with both teams on. Not only were both teams on tv, the games were staggered so we could watch the ending of the Bucks game, then switch over to ESPN to watch the Badgers take on Duke. I stated a while ago that one advantage basketball has over football is that games are on during the week, and last night was a great night to get over hump day.
Bucks
This was a frustrating loss for the Bucks. The Wizards are actually one of the teams the Bucks are competing [...]
