Weekend Review, NBA Picks
The Bucks pulled out two wins over the weekend over Minnesota and New York. In doing so the Bucks are quickly becoming the most interesting and liked sports team in Wisconsin. The Packers are creating football depression all across Wisconsin with the loss to the winless Bucs on the heels of the season sweep versus the Vikings. Thank god for the Bucks!
I was able to watch the Minnesota game and I owe an apology to Luke Ridnour. I was hard on him after the Chicago game, but Luke came through in this game. He hit several shots and proved himself worthy of a spot in the rotation. Sorry Luke, I overreacted to what was just a bad matchup for you against the Bulls.
The Bucks locked down Al Jefferson and that was the key to the win in my view. Jonny Flynn had some points in garbage time in the fourth quarter, but many of those points were scored when the game was nearly put away for the Bucks. I think both teams should be happy with their rookie point guards, but I would stick with Jennings. He has done more when games were in doubt.
The game on Saturday night was blacked out for me, and the rest of Wisconsin. Why in the hell is a Saturday night game not on TV? That was just bad luck for the Bucks as I am sure there were a lot of people across Wisconsin that wanted to checkout Brandon Jennings and the overachieving Bucks.
Jodie Meeks exploded from deep and looks like he could confirm many fans predictions that he will be another solid second round pick. I know the Alexander pick looks bad, but if Meeks can continue to get better and Jennings can stick with his current production, that would be three out of four draft picks that Hammond has hit on. That is a very strong start for Hammond in the draft and when the financial flexibility he his attempting arrives he should be able to hit on some free agent acquisitions. If he can target free agents with the same success as the draft, the Bucks future is extremely bright.

Looks like you got a lot of hits for your Jennings/ESPN article
Packers disapointing, I have to watch this team the rest of the season! This season could ruin Rodgers career. After 8 games it is what it is nothing will change.
I completely agree with Rodgers career potentially getting ruined. It could get scary. I seriously think the best thing for him would be to beat Dallas on a last second touchdown pass, but he gets hurt on the play. An injury that would be serious enough to knock him out for the year, but no future ramifications. Maybe a broken bone in his left hand or something.
That way he keeps some confidence going into next year. The GM/Coaches get exposed for having a poor line and no backup QB, and some firings occur. I cannot believe we are at this point already.

Murphy has put MM and TT on notice.
what about Holmgren GM, Gruden coach? I like Gruden as a coach, he just ran out of talent in TB.
November 11th, 2009 at 4:32 pmThat has been what I have heard and read from a lot of Packer fans. I would be happy with Gruden, he was able to establish success with the mess in Oakland, and he never really had a QB in Tampa. The Tampa situation has been a problem ever since their owners became too interested in Manchester United, the team has been downhill since.
I think there are some issues with Holmgren. The people at the top were really upset with the way he mailed it in at the end in GB, I don’t think anybody is left, but people on the Executive Board may still have some hard feelings there. He also never really proved he could be the GM as most of their success came when he gave up some power.
Here is a scenario I could live with that will never happen. Homgren gets the title Head of Football Operations, Thompson becomes Director of College Scouting.
