Happy Thanksgiving, NBA Picks

AUTHOR: Justin Malaise | IN: NBA Nightly Picks | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

Thanksgiving
First off, everybody have a happy Thanksgiving.  Enjoy the football games, if you are at a place that you are not allowed to watch them, fake an illness and go home.  There is no excuse whatsoever for people to not be allowed to watch football on Thanksgiving.  If you are going someplace you know the game will be turned off, delay the trip until after the first game, get there early in the second game, then leave at the half.  Be a pain.  If the hosts that do not allow you to watch the games can be a pain in [...]

Bucks Update, NBA Picks

AUTHOR: Justin Malaise | IN: Bucks | COMMENTS: None Yet

A lot has happened for the Bucks in a few short days.  The Bucks beat Charlotte and held on in Memphis before losing to the Spurs Monday night 112-98.
Bogut is Out
Bogut is out for what will sound like three weeks total, and not the four that was possible reported.  Gery Woelfel stated the three week time frame this morning on the Doug and Mike show.  Hopefully he will be back even sooner as he was really establishing himself as an All Star center in the East.
 Redd is Back
Redd is back.  How a shooter as good as Redd can go 1-6 [...]

Bucks Beat Nets

AUTHOR: Justin Malaise | IN: Bucks Recap | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

The Bucks did something they should do last night, beat the Nets. The game started very poorly for the Bucks but they did trim the lead to seven before halftime. The second half was a different story as the Bucks jumped on the Nets with a 15-0 run highlighted by a Jennings steal and dunk. The game for all intensive purposes was over at that point.
This was a good win for the Bucks. There have not been many games over the last couple of years where going into the game it was thought “The Bucks will win tonight”. The Bucks [...]

Bucks Lose at the Buzzer to Mavs, Jennings Manufactures Good Game, NBA Picks

AUTHOR: Justin Malaise | IN: Brandon Jennings, Bucks Recap, NBA Nightly Picks | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

The Bucks lost a tough one last night.  I am not sure what was tougher, the loss on Dirk’s bounce all over the rim, backboard, shot clock, rafter, shot at the buzzer or listening to the Mavs announcers all game.  The game was only available on NBA TV so we were subjected to the Mavs hometown tv crew, it got really old after a few minutes.
Nobody expects the Bucks to be great and win all 41 home games so a loss here and there is fine.  What I loved about this loss was the fact the Bucks fought back.  When [...]

The Brandon Jennings Bandwagon is Filling Fast

AUTHOR: Justin Malaise | IN: Bucks | COMMENTS: 5 Comments

There is not much more that is needed to be said about Brandon Jennings 55 point explosion against the Warriors on Saturday night.  He was on fire, his third quarter was indescribable for a fan of a team that has struggled so mightily the last few years as the Bucks.
As far as my analysis goes, it is as simple as this:  Jennings is too quick for most guards to stick with.  He can get into the lane whenever he wants to shoot his floater, get all the way to the basket, or dish it off for a wide open jumper [...]

Is Jennings a Left Handed Chris Paul?

AUTHOR: Justin Malaise | IN: Bucks, NBA Nightly Picks | COMMENTS: 4 Comments

I know it is way too early to make the comparison, but you have to excuse us Bucks fans since we have had so very little to cheer about since the Bucks lost in the Finals to the Sixers in 2001.  Then, DICKHEAD(George Karl) dismantled the team, then took off.
Karl
What an asshole, I hate the fact he gets propped up on ESPN or by any other media outlet for being such a great coach.  He left the Sonics a mess, left the Bucks a mess, and will leave Denver a mess.  Just wait, if he gets his way he will find [...]

Bucks Winning the Right Way, Bucks over Nuggets

AUTHOR: Justin Malaise | IN: Bucks Recap | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

The Bucks got a big win Wednesday night over the Denver Nuggets.  The Nuggets were likely a little worn down as this game was the second night of a back-back and the final game of a six game road trip.  That being said, this was a good win for the Bucks.  Denver is a good team, a playoff team, a true contender in the West and the Bucks controlled the game for the entire second half.  The Bucks never trailed in the second half, the Nuggets made a couple of pushes and cut the lead to one point late, but [...]

Nuggets-Bucks and NBA Picks

AUTHOR: Justin Malaise | IN: NBA Nightly Picks | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

Tonight should be a true test for the Bucks #1 ranked defense.  The Bucks have not played an offense near the level of the Nuggets so it will be interesting if the Bucks can hold Denver under 100.  Denver is ranked fourth in scoring with plenty of depth and talent.
Another Rookie PG
We will also get to see Ty Lawson, who is now rated #1 on ESPN’s rookie board.  I think the rating is crap since it had Jennings #1 last week, 4th this week.  It gave a boost to Flynn and Evans for garbage time points.  Jennings is doing more [...]

Weekend Review, NBA Picks

AUTHOR: Justin Malaise | IN: Bucks, NBA Nightly Picks | COMMENTS: 5 Comments

The Bucks pulled out two wins over the weekend over Minnesota and New York.  In doing so the Bucks are quickly becoming the most interesting and liked sports team in Wisconsin.  The Packers are creating football depression all across Wisconsin with the loss to the winless Bucs on the heels of the season sweep versus the Vikings.  Thank god for the Bucks!
I was able to watch the Minnesota game and I owe an apology to Luke Ridnour.  I was hard on him after the Chicago game, but Luke came through in this game.  He hit several shots and proved himself [...]

Jennings-Flynn Tonight, NBA Picks

AUTHOR: Justin Malaise | IN: Bucks, NBA Nightly Picks | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

Tonight should be another fun game to watch for fans of both the Wolves and Bucks as both teams rookie point guards will square off for the first time.  I like Flynn, but I like Jennings more.  Flynn went to college for two years, and although he was a very good college player, I never found him to be dominant.  I would have liked to see more from Flynn in their tourney loss to Oklahoma, but it is possible Flynn was injured during the game on a failed dunk.
I always get nervous of any of these college guys that did [...]
