Warriors
DirectTv is offering free NBA League Pass for the first week of the season, it gives fans like me a chance to watch some other teams around the league that I rarely get to see. I know Lebron is a great player, and because of him the Cavs are a playoff team, but my god are they boring to watch. It is just Lebron, in a 1-4 set, he drives into the lane and he gets fouled, kicks it out for a three, or shoots. They are so painful to watch and they are on TV more than any [...]

Nightly NBA Picks
My first night of NBA ATS picks got off to a rough 1-3 start. A big reason why it is tough to bet NBA ATS was displayed last night when Portland won by 9, missing the 9.5 cover. If I were to bet real money, I would likely stick to straight money lines.
Cleveland -6
Toronto
I do not see how it can be possible that Shaq can be very effective on the second night of a back to back. I imagine his minutes will be limited tonight.
Charlotte
Boston -10.5
Boston will win, but they will be happy with a seven point win. They [...]
Garry Howard at JSOnline wrote up an article regarding how the Packer fans should treat Brett Favre on Sunday. He says we should give Favre a standing ovation initially, then become fans of Green Bay when the game starts. This is a not the way it should be done, AT ALL. He should be booed, mercilessly.
My reasons for why he should be booed:
1. HE IS A VIKING – With all apologies to the Bears, the Vikings are the Packers biggest rival to anyone living outside of Milwaukee. Minnesota and Chicago were the two teams he could not go to, and [...]
Rookie of the Year
It is now official that Blake Griffin will be out for several weeks due to injury. To me, this opens up the Rookie of the Year award. After Blake, can any player be identified as a favorite? It will come down to opportunities, than talent and success.
Brandon Jennings should get plenty of opportunities as the starter or backup point guard. He should average well over 20 minutes a game so the opportunity category gets a checkmark. There is no doubt to anyone who has seen any footage of Jennings that he has the talent, but maybe even [...]
I cannot help but smile at the fate of the Oklahoma Sooners this season. It is very similar to the smile that came to my face when Tom Brady got hurt last season in the opener. This was not happiness for their injuries, but a personal knowing that the football gods were at work.
I do not wish ill-will towards either Bradford or Brady, hmmm, look how similar those last names are? Sam, Tom, Brad-ford, Brad-y. Something may be going on here. I really do not want them to get hurt, but their teams deserved those injuries.
The New England Patriots pissed [...]

Please, please, please I beg of you college football gods, do not force us to look forward to a national title game of Florida/Alabama versus Iowa, Boise or Cincinnati. I have seen the Big 10 versus the SEC in the title game before, it does not end well, and at least those Ohio State teams were talented. I am going to give my quick run down of who is left in the running for the title game.
Iowa
I do not care that Iowa keeps on winning, when you need 14 missed fgs at the end of the game to beat Northern [...]
I am an huge fan of both the Packers and Badgers. The teams are very different in their styles and strengths; if we could combine the strengths of both teams, imagine what we could have! Call it fantasy football for us cheese-heads.
Quick side-note: As a Badger state resident, and football fan, I hate seeing the cheese-heads. If you actually ever come to a Packer game, you will see maybe 100 cheese- heads, at most. Yet every Monday or Sunday night game, those are the first idiots shown on tv. If the Packers are on the road, here comes a shot [...]
There are some things in sports I do not understand, I can sit and watch football, baseball, and basketball every day, I see certain things, and wonder how the teams themselves do not see the same things I do. To go with that, for the life of me, I do not understand how people like the movie Swingers.
My Problem with Swingers
Part of my problem with Swingers was not the movie’s fault. When I was in college, Charlie, a guy that I found to be a complete douchebag would never shut up about the movie, forcing me to spite the movie before [...]
Bucks – Packers Similarities
There is a new article up on JSonline titled “Bucks Depth Improved, but what’s the rotation?” This made me shake my head because it reminds me of the same issue with the Packers. The Bucks have a lot of nice pieces, a decent center, an elite outside scorer, and a promising young point guard. The problem with the team is they have nobody to feed in crunch-time, defense is up in the air, and are still looking like a poor rebounding team. In my mind, those three areas are the backbone of a successful NBA team. It it almost impossible to [...]
