As we get closer to the point of something will happen with Sessions, I thought I would take a cynical look at what the Bucks have done this off-season. Taking the draft out of the conversation, where I thought the Bucks added a potential star and solid contributor, if the Bucks do not match whatever offer comes in for Sessions nor negotiate a sign-and-trade for his services this is a not so postive look at the Bucks offseason.
The Bucks have traded Richard Jefferson to the Spurs and have ended up with Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas, and Amir Johnson from the Pistons. [...]

Cynical look at Bucks Offseason
It has already been a month since the 2009 NBA Draft, never too early for a Big Board of potential NBA prospects. When ranking HS prospects, I put more weight on where they finish in their overall recruiting rankings as opposed to where they go to school. Derrick Favors was the #1 recruit last year, but everyone hears about John Wall because he went to Kentucky, while Favors went to Georgia Tech. It won’t matter much as I expect both to be in the 2010 NBA Draft since they were the top two in their class.
ESPN has a top 100 [...]
It is now being reported that the Clippers and Oklahoma City are joining the bidding for Sessions services. The Knicks are preparing their long-term offer of roughly $26 million. Further details regarding the deal here. It is described in depth the details of the likely contract offers and the speculation of whether the Bucks may or may not match. At this point, it sounds like anything less than 5 years, the Bucks will match. At 5 years, for the MLE, a sign-and-trade will likely need to be worked out. This is where everything can get interesting. I was not in [...]
It is being reported that the Knicks will make a MLE exception offer to Ramon Sessions by Tuesday. My plea to the Bucks is, MATCH. If the Knicks offer is 4 years or less, I think a match should be automatic. Do not overthink, do not justify letting a top five point guard go, do not pass go, do not collect $200.
I stated some of Sessions stats in a previous post and the basics are this, according to Player Efficiency Ratings, Sessions is a top 5 PG. These stats do not lie, when you combine his age, 23, and height [...]
Why Would Bucks Trade Sessions?
I am not on board with the Bucks either trading Sessions or letting him go for the Mid Level Exception(MLE). The rumors of Sessions going to the Knicks via sign and trade or through a MLE offer. My question is why would the Bucks do it? Sessions is a 6’3” point guard, with a 2008-09 Player Efficiency Rating(PER) of 17.65 , when he was playing the point the PER was 20.6, and his two year Adjusted +/- ranks him among the top five point guards in the league. If he played exclusively at the point, he would rank among the [...]
As the NBA draft approached, being a Buck fan, I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted or expected the Bucks to get at 10. The consensus was that the candidates likely to be chosen by Milwaukee were: Flynn, Holiday, or Jennings. The day before the draft I read a lot of articles of the candidates and I decided I would be the most happy with Jennings. After the Bucks made the selection of Jennings, I did some research that was very interesting and could give the Bucks’ fan base some hope.
I went to a website, statsheet.com, which combines all recruiting rankings [...]
